About Us
Gateway Community Church are people living out their faith in Jesus Christ in as real and authentic ways as they can.
As a community of followers of Jesus we believe that worship and prayer are our lifelines to God. When we have our weekly gathering, we meet with God expressing our hearts to Him in worship. Listening and responding to what He has to say to us.
As followers of Jesus we believe that we are called to love one another and to make a difference in the world around us. We attempt to work this out by loving one another and partnering with other Christians down the street, across the nation and around the world. Each of God's children big and small have been created in God's image with unique gifts and abilities that we encourage and value to be used in the life of the church and the world to which we have been called.
As best we can, we make Jesus lord in our decision making and planning, believing that God has a purpose and plan for each life and each church community.
We welcome you to join us!
What We Believe
We believe that the Bible is the authority for Christian faith.
That eternal relationship with God comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
God is present when we meet. He meets us in our areas of need with healing, forgiveness and encouragement.
That as our Creator, Savior, Redeemer, God is worthy of our praise.
That the creativity which God has given us is to be used as we gather to worship. People are encouraged to participate through music, drama, dance, poetry, and other artistic expression.
That children are a gift from God and are welcome at Gateway. During Sunday morning worship they are mentored in a friendly, fun environment known as Team Time. Youth are encouraged to be active participants in our congregational life.
That the essence of the Church is people in relationship with Jesus Christ and each other. Part of our purpose is to build unity between churches and denominations, both locally and nationally.
