God is our best Financial Consultant.  So, when God asks us to return a portion of our income as a tithe it is in our best interest to obey. Our giving is used in furthering God’s kingdom purposes. We believe that as people participate in the community of God they will see giving financially as a part of their participation. We see giving as an act of worship that needs to be done freely and with forethought

(hence the offering box at the back rather than a passed basket)

We see giving financially as a measure of discipleship and that how we steward our resources is important to God.

Ten percent or more of what is brought in through our tithes and offerings is used for purposes outside of Gateway. In addition our annual budget includes the costs of facilitating the Gateway Food Bank, the Emergency Shelter and an office for Christian Counseling Ministries.
