Mennonite Brethren Mission and Service International (Soar Missions Trips)

MBMSI’s vision is focused on holistic church planting that transforms communities among the least reached. We strive to plant healthy, reproducing churches through evangelism, discipleship and community development. Mission outreach includes the short-term Soar program, where youth and young adults join Quebec believers testifying of Jesus’ love among North America’s largest unreached people group. Team members serve alongside inner-city ministries, emerging churches and share God’s heart for this city through social action, creative outreach, and intercessory prayer. MBMSI is the global mission agency of the MB churches in Canada and the U.S.

Ark Ministries

ARK is a non-profit organization in Metro Halifax that specializes in helping and caring for troubled youth. Through many different situations, children are forced onto the streets to find shelter and to fend for themselves. ARK believes in building relationships and communicating the love of Jesus in work and deed. By giving these children a place to stay, where they can get a meal, shower, clothing or merely the warmth and companionship of ARK's dedicated staff, young children can be helped towards a new and brighter future.

However, this is not the full extent of what ARK offers to the homeless community. They are also responsible for the 'Sunday Supper', which serves hot meals to many of the Halifax homeless, as well as a variety of other tasks. It is through a large volunteer network, dedicated staff, and MANY donations that ARK remains an active source of support for those in need. While this effort continues to grow, so too does the need for more public awareness, civic generousity through donations, and a positive attitude to accept people as they are.

Watchmen For The Nations

The vision of Watchmen for the Nations is to prepare the church in Canada to be a dwelling place for the glory of the Lord and to release God’s redemptive purpose for Canada as a healer to the nations.

Watchmen for the Nations is an affiliation of Christian leaders from many regions, denominations, ethnic backgrounds and spheres of influence (traditional church, media, political and business leaders). We share a common vision and passion to lay aside personal agendas and ministry objectives to come corporately in humility and brokenness to seek the face of the Lord and follow His steps to release our nation to its eternal destiny.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to needy children around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God's love. This program provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project that focuses on the true meaning of Christmas--Jesus Christ, God's greatest gift. Along with shoe box gifts, millions of children are given Gospel booklets in their own language. Last year, we collected over 7.6 million shoe box gifts worldwide and distributed them to children in 95 countries.

Gateway serves as the regional depot to Nova Scoita churches and residents.
